ABOUT THE ARTIST
BIOGRAPHY
Edwin Stephenson is a professionally trained artist who studied at Wakefield College of Art and the University of Coventry where he obtained a first class honours degree in fine art.
After a period working at a senior level in the charity sector he has for the past three years returned to painting on a full time basis.
He has exhibited in Wakefield (college of technology and arts)
Coventry (Herbert art gallery and Museum)
Birmingham (Ikon Gallery)
Edinburgh and Leeds.
He also has a number of paintings in private collections.
He is currently exhibiting at North Leeds Primary Care Trust where a large collection of some twenty paintings is currently on show.
He has completed several commission including paintings for particular individuals and has provided a series of paintings for a restaurant interior and for a firm of solicitors.
He is particularly interested in large-scale commissions designed for specific architectural settings.
He lives and works in North Leeds.
